The Boxing Workout is a class for both men and women of all fitness levels. The program follows the same routine as an amateur boxer. The objective is to introduce participants to the training methods and basic skills of boxing.
Based on locking and throwing techniques which have evolved over thousands of years, Muay Thai provides an extremely effective self-defense system against virtually any attacker, unarmed or otherwise. This system can be used by anyone irrespective of strength, weight or gender. Training is gradual and tailored to your individual ability. Endurance, strength, flexibility and speed are all improved during training. Your confidence, coordination and reaction times will improve. All you need to start is loose clothing.
A Brazilian Martial Art developed by the African slaves and natives of Brazil over 400 years ago. Capoeira is a combination of self-defense, dance, acrobatics and live music woven in to a vigorous game of ritualized combat. Capoeira is where the curious become viewers and viewers become participants. A great workout for all fitness levels.
Learn the art of Kickboxing for self defense and fitness. This dynamic and explosive art combines the benefits of an excellent cardio workout with self-defense techniques using the legs, knees, elbows and boxing. Increase your aerobic capacity, learn conditioning drills to improve your strength, agility and quickness while developing an impenetrable defense and a devastating offense.
This section in the Schedule indicates that while there are no specific classes offered, all members are still welcome to visit the gym and use the facilities to work out on their own or with one of our personal trainers.
